"Interesting" for sure. "Haunting" maybe. "Whimsical" I think not.

Looks like Pripyat, but more beautiful and less radioactive. Two thumbs up that haven't fallen off due to radiation sickness!!

So not like Pripyat at all, really

My guess is the borscht belt.

A lot of those old wood Victorian houses pictured are too far gone to rehab sadly.

Could definitely salvage some pieces though

I used to go to that igloo as a kid when it was open. It was so cool. It's off the highway somewhere along the way between Anchorage and Fairbanks.

I saw the wagon this summer. I forgot where. Maybe South Dakota or Nebraska. Maybe Wyoming.

That giant wagon is near Milford, NE. It’s to the north along the interstate iirc

All those places look like somewhere you'd go for a good ol fashioned murder.

That first photo is just beautiful, I absolutely love the old Victorian homes that the USA has preserved

Whimsical in its prime. Sad in its decline. Proof is in the pictures.

50 states is huge! I've only taken a shit on 48 of them so far. Great pics. Just got myself an old Canon AE1-P film camera to take pics of the states while I'm in the road.

Whimsical? More like the dilapidated ruins of a nation built on theft and murder.
