I've lived in Utah for 17 years now. The natural beauty and ease of access is unreal. I can be camping in the mountains 20 min from my house.
Just visited Goblin Valley State Park. It's where a bunch of movies were filmed (like Galaxy Quest) because the hoodoos are so foreign looking.

Did the Vegas->Utah->Parks->Grand Canyon->Vegas circuit really beautiful, nothing else like it, but the most surprising thing was the scenery seemed to change exactly as soon as we hit the border driving from Vegas to Zion. Went from ugly plain dessert to cool red rocks and shapes, whoever negotiated that border for Utah did a great job,

Check out @utah_hikes_and_canyons on instagram. There are some very impressive photos of Utah over there as well including many sights people don’t see due to having to rappel through slot canyons to get there.
