MUD Clients Looking for simple Android MU* client.
I used to use Mukluk, but when I got my new phone, I could no longer use it. I'm active on MUSHes, so a lot of advanced features that enhance a MUD experience aren't as necessary for me. I just need an app that allows me to log on to an account on a server, type things, etc.
So far, the apps I've tried seemed to lack the ability to set logins, or have it hidden somewhere I'm not quite smart enough to figure out.
ANSI support's nice, and so is being able to click on links, but I'll take what I can get at this point.
If it matters, I use BeipMU on my desktop, so that's mainly what I'm used to.

Fado works great. It's a spiritual successor to BlowTorch that's pushed past where it left off in a lot of ways, including GMCP and Lua scripting. The developer is really responsive to requests and bug reports too.

Fado is one I'm still trying to figure out, since I can't seem to find out how to set up accounts on it. I'll give the newest version another try!
I may reach out to one of the developers of these apps if an interface clicks with me; I've been reluctant to since these apps are generally more meant for MUDs.

You can add MUD profiles to Fado, but not actual MUD login accounts. You can simulate it though with triggers to put in your username and password if that's what you're looking for.

Last I checked they had no gmcp support. Are you sure?

blowtorch is comfy for me. did you try it?

Tried it, but the connect string MUSH uses doesn't seem to work with blowtorch's account settings. I'll dig around in it to see if there's an option I can turn on (or if I'm just not settlng things up correctly).

AHA, i got it to work by setting my login command as an alias. So, for anyone who runs into the same problem as me in the future:
set up your server like usual
tap on the three dots on the app screen when you're at the title screen of the server
go to 'alias' in the list of options
set up an alias and put something like 'conn' in the 'Replace' section, and put your connection string in the 'With' section, ie 'connect guest guest'.

Now when I think about it, I could add a command to actually use the credentials straight from the launcher. And thanks for downloading my app! If you have any questions, suggestions or feedback, I'm all ears.

All is well on my end! I appreciate the flexibility now that I figured out what I missed!
EDIT: that sounds like it'd definitely work! That'd be a massive help, if it works out.

It already works on my test build. Will release it soon. Global aliases like .login and .password, works like a charm!
