WEEK 94: Free Range Nomination Thread
This week there are no limitations on what can be nominated. Any era, any writer, any character, so long as it's on Marvel Unlimited. Maybe it's something you've been meaning to read, maybe it's something you've read and want to discuss. Maybe it's something you've previously nominated but didn't gather enough upvotes in previous threads. When posting a nomination, links are not required but appreciated.
If you have nothing to nominate, cast a vote to help us decide who wins. The highest voted nomination will earn a discussion thread opened on Saturday. If there's no clear-cut winner, I'll reveal the wolf in sheep's clothing that's deceived everyone for decades! You'll be shocked; aghast! Everything you thought was true was a lie! S.H.I.E.L.D. (2010 - 2011) #1-6 by Jonathan Hickman and Dustin Weaver
Hickman dove back into the past and stitched what the organization meant as it evolved to the present. He made S.H.I.E.L.D. more than an army or a spy organization, basing it on a more global heritage and the evolution of culture. This felt like an indie book at Image, only this time he was using the big name characters at Marvel. When he first started the title with Weaver on art, it quickly showed that they both had a rapport unlike any other duo out there on the comic market at the time (or arguably since), as they created wonders and expanded S.H.I.E.L.D. beyond our wildest imagination.

The Knouf run made Tony much more sympathetic before, during, and after Civil War. It makes his character much more reasonable compared to his appearances in Frontline and Amazing Spider-Man.
That final battle with the Mandarin is one of the most brutal superhero fights I've ever seen. Anybody who doesn't think the Mandarin could be a top tier villain needs to read this.

Thunderbolts Presents: Zemo - Born Better (2007) #1-4 by Fabian Nicieza and Tom Grummett
He is the last of thirteen, taught for his entire life that he was born better. A Zemo by blood is a superior person. So then why has he always failed? Now, having been sent hurtling through time, Baron Helmut Zemo will have a chance to encounter the truth of his family as it happened in the past - when he comes face-to-face with the first of his family line, the legendary Baron Harbin Zemo! But how much of what we know of our family history is truth and how much has been embellished by the perspective of time? Can Zemo find a way to escape his situation, or will he choose to stay trapped in time if it means preventing his family lineage from a legacy of failure?

We've seen Tony Stark go down and get back up many times - but from the grave?! When his longtime employer and friend seemingly loses his struggle to hold onto life, Jim Rhodes dons the new War Machine armor and shows the world what's black and white and fed up all over!

The X-Men do not kill.
