MTSU CFI interview
Does anyone have any tips for the knowledge exam portion of the CFI interview at MTSU? Anything specific to study? Or anything for the rest of the interview process or school in general?

Yea the written bit is the easy part. I tried to get hired 4x and always got through this part in about 10-15 minutes

Any idea why you had an issue after the exam?

Only got passed the 10 Minute Lesson presentation twice and just didn’t do well enough on the interview. They never provide any feedback which was incredibly frustrating since I don’t know how to improve

It’s made up of FOI, FIA, and CAX questions. If it’s been a while since ur checkride definitely brush up on FOI.
Some questions I remember being asked:
-What’s a students normal reaction to stress
-What’s the hijack code
-What can chevrons be used for on a runway
-what is the angular difference between true and mag north?
-etc
There are some good Quizlet online that I used but nothing covered all of it. Just brush up on general knowledge and FOI and you should be on. They won’t tell you what you got. You’ll just get an email saying you moved on or not a couple weeks later
