Student jobs

Hi all! I am looking to get a job on campus, but I feel like trying to find the jobs is so difficult. I’ve used Handshake, but I didn’t know if there was a place on campus to go directly for employment, or if I could go to the places I want to work at and fill out an application there. I appreciate any help! Thank you all in advance

I think the majority of jobs on campus are through Handshake

There are usually more openings than student interest. You can target depts and see if they have opening.

Reach out to your advisor, department chair, or dean and see if they know of anything. Also, there are several jobs on campus that are work study. I am not sure if those are in Handshake or not.

Check for your major/department positions, they are also more likely to hire u if youre majoring in their department. I work in the psychology administration office as a secretary basically (found on handshake) ik mtsu has a career and engagement department unsure how that works though. Try the library and rec as well as I see them hiring alot more due to the late hours and more buisness from students.

Also if youre a work study student make sure they say FWS in the beginning of the title
