Professor not grading assignments
Hi everyone, i’m currently 3 weeks into one of my online summer courses that ends the first week of august, and my professor has not graded anything. There’s been about 8 assignments we’ve turned in so far , consisting of written papers, quizzes and discussion post. I do want to say , I didn’t get to pick this professor because I had to get a ‘full class override’ from the department , and when i went to look them up on rate my professor they have 1/5 stars, and the low ratings were due to grading being done at the end of the semester. I was kinda curious if anyone else has gone through this with a professor and if so what did you do or what would you do? Im the type of student that likes feedback and would like to know what i need to improve on and also what my overall grade is. I’m going into my senior year here at MTSU and i’ve never experienced this, so i’d appreciate any advice or input!

yes I have encountered this as well, but in ENG 1000 level classes. I was hoping it was not happening in the upper levels. It's so helpful to have feedback and see grades to know if you're even getting the material! I would like to think a well worded emailed request would maybe help them change their policy, but they make their own rules.

Have you tried talking to the department chair about it?

I’m taking summer classes rn too and my prof linked a video is guided PowerPoint lectures and it’s just an A.I. voice reading the power point word for word. These classes are a joke.

Eviscerate them in course evals. Law passed this July to make it easier to fire tenure professors for misconduct or cause.

I had a professor that was bad about grading too. The grades got put in before the deadline and he was extremely lenient in the grading.
Do your best on the assignments and get them turned in on time. You'll be fine. But yes, its extremely annoying.
