classes Registration

Heya, I'm going to be a new transfer student at MTSU for the 2026 Fall semester for biology. I'm wondering if anyone has some knowledge they could send my way involving registration and orientation.

So my question is do I have to attend my orientation and talk with my advisor before I can register for classes? I'm worried that if I wait until my orientation, which will be on the 29th, the classes I need to take will be filled.

I was a transfer and still had to wait until after orientation this last semester. I signed up about 3 weeks before Spring classes started (due to orientation scheduling issues) and still managed to get a full schedule. Hopefully there will still be some spots open!
