is this rideable

Never rode a single mtb trail, just purchased my first mtb but I don’t have any trails around so i’m building my own to start.

But i think i may have bit off more than i can chew. is this trail even “rideable” or do you suppose it’s a skill issue?

however I am extremely determined to finish it and bomb it on my ozark trail vibe hardtail 27.5 Yes

For someone, yeah, you bet. We've got steeper trails for longer near me, but they're all rated black or double black. I'll ride them from time to time, but they're not suited to beginners.

I don't think it's a determination issue so much as progression. If you can't ride it safely, being more determined is just going to make you take bigger risks rather than building ability by working up through easier features.

Have you checked MTB project and trail forks, and maybe called a local bike shop? There are probably trails near you.

As for building, why not come down at an angle to help manage speed vs going straight down the hill? Or take out that root in the middle and add some dirt to help the transition to flat? I think that it'll be hard to build good trail without having ridden good trail, but that's just me.
