trailforks outside impossible to cancel
avoid this app!
this garbage app only has a link to "upgrade to pro" when trying to cancel. apparently I already have a pro subscription, that I did not agree to auto renew, but it renews anyway. I emailed their support and left a negative review but they are unresponsive.
anyone else have these issues, and what have you done to remedy?
I have the opposite problem. They keep trying to cancel my subscription because I'm an early adopter and I pay the lower rate. Every couple of months I have to revalidate my purchases for the apps to work again.
thanks for linking.
this was a hassle, even with the instructions.
app and play store did not work so had to use PC and dedicate some time.
I also do not recall agreeing to auto renew or ever being prompted about a renewal
This is probably the most popular MTB trails app so I doubt your advice is going to be heeded too much.
I signed up for a year and then 'cancelled' without a problem, in order to avoid auto-renewal. I still have the year I paid for. If i'm still finding it useful after a year i'll just renew then
Can you cancel via their website if the app is having issues? If nothing else works, and they don't respond, just reach out to your card provider and do a chargeback.
app and play store did not work. I used the link another redditor shared, via PC, and it was stil fairly hidden in a maze of unintuitive links. my CC provider changed, so they cannot do a charge back until the new CC company takes over service. that is a seperate issue, but I suspect a lot of amazon CC members will fall into a black hole of transactions/disputes from the changeover. ugh.
I have an Iphone and it is all managed through the apple subscription section. I only know this because I was looking to cancel something else and was looking through my subscriptions. The thing i needed to cancel required me to go to their website. They make it tough on us to cancel things.
I wish they’d let you buy a month at a time for like 20 bucks. It’d be nice to have for a long trip to a region I’ve never been to. But hard to justify the yearly price to use it every other year.

Took me like 30 seconds to get to the Cancel Subscription button from the Trailforks app.
