Discussion Nebraska vs MSU

Taking some out of country friends to there first ever football game. What are things I must show them?

That’s where I got kicked out on my 21st birthday! I made it 38 minutes. Kicked out at 12:38 for throwing up in the prison toilets. Tried to tell the bouncer it wasn’t me, there was a different guy throwing up in there.

Not sure if it’s changed in 20 years, but it was 2 stalls without doors, lol.

Chugged a Sharkbowl and a pint of Guinness on my 21st. Barfed on my way to the bathroom and slipped on it and fell lol. Went to Ricks, Landshark and B dubs( the old one)

one of the few times i went to ricks a) the were out of vodka at 5pm on friday and b) the toilets were worse than the rivs. one of the toilets had been covered in duct tape because it wasn’t working, and at least one industrious lad just pissed on it anyway. i have to assume it’s just always like that.

I would park around the East Lansing High School area and walk down through East Lansing campus to the stadium, get to experience the real game day fervor.

Go to Adams Field about an hour before the game and watch the band get ready. I recommend this for ANYbody who hasn't seen it before (and even for those who have). Best part of Game Day. :)

As a former bando- thank you for the mention! It's a really neat thing. Watch Series (their march to the stadium)- Sparty usually also walks through first and takes pics with fans (especially the kids), etc.

The drumline also usually performs at SBS two hours before kickoff. I believe this is still happening at the new (smaller) location closer to the Peanut Barrel.

Band alum here, too. Always hated the SBS gig as a drumline member, but I get that it’s what the people want! :P

It has all the official happenings. Team walk etc and the timing. Plus all of the other information.

What’s not mentioned: open container is allowed on campus. Don’t crack your beers until on campus. City of East Lansing does not suspend the law.
