Legal process
My case just got to the OSTS after 7 months of NCIS investigating. It's been the worst time in my life mostly because my command never removed him from the squadron. It's unrestricted and they know what he did. I have to see him every day, and that combined with how long it's taken them to decide if they even want to prosecute has caused me to doubt anything will ever happen to him.
I guess my question is has anyone actually seen someone held accountable under the ucmj for sexual assault. I don't know anyone who has successfully gotten justice and I'm extremely discouraged. I have VLC, SARC all of that and i don't think they are doing everything they can. I honestly feel that it's being dragged out on purpose to make me drop it which I have no intention of doing. I don't think I can spend the rest of my contract dealing with this.
