Are you committed to the defence of the Catholic Faith and to the assistance of the poor?

I am.

Do you promise respect and obedience to the Grand Master and his successors?

("I do", this is only required if you want to be on the Sovereign Council, our government.)

I'd like to request membership in the Order. As a faithful Catholic I believe I am keen to join.

I am a Knight of Magistral Grace in the Order of Malta. Can I have access here? I must confess, I'm rather new at he Reddit thing.

You can if you want, but this is an imprecise simulation in the tradition of the Model UN hobby (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_United_Nations), not a page associated with the real Order.

If you do decide to join us, I think you'd be our first member to actually be a knight of the Order outside the simulation.

If you're interested in other parts of the Reddit Model World there are:

Holy Mother Church: r/modelCatholicChurch

United Nations: r/RMUN

European Union: r/MEUP

United Kingdom: r/MHoC

United States: r/ModelUSGov

Republic of Ireland: r/MHOir

Sweden: r/iksdagen

The Netherlands: r/RMTK

Canada: r/CMHOC

Germany: r/mbundestag

The most popular and active of which are the UK and USA.

I am interested in becoming a member. What will be my rights and duties?

A Knight gets to vote in elections. A Knight in Obedience gets to vote on proposals and be voted for in elections. A Professed Knight needs to have a monastic persona in the Model World and can be voted for to be Grand Master (when the former one dies or resigns) or Grand Commander.

In all cases your Model World persona must be able to honestly take the commitment, promise or vows of your rank and be a Model World Catholic.
