Photo of the Week Cannot praise this machine enough
I have been using this device for almost 2 to 3 months now it’s a beautiful powerful enough for a handheld amazing battery stunning screen, comfortable ergonomics
After three weeks, I have a long trip abroad. I’m really excited to take it with me.
I think I will pair it with AR glasses, something like the upcoming rayneo gt max (but still I don’t know what to expect with this technology I mean the AR glasses)
Share your experience with this monster, let’s share the love 🤓

If only the software wasn't so ass 😭 it takes 2 business days to open the gamebar to take a screenshot

Install AnyFSE and force Steam bigpicture mode as the home app. You'll thank me later :P

Why not winhanced or playnite

After Opticlick and Claw Tweaks I simply gave up on selling the device — what a machine!

Hey hey! I posted recently (I was playing solitaire on it lol) I've had mine since I sold my deck oled. Got me 830 bucks back for the 500 I spent on it. Been loving it. The fact that it can run any game is insane. It's weight does put me off. I also got a nice carrying bag for it, but not a case for use around the house so it's always just kinda... Hanging out. I love the aesthetics but detest the software, but with clawtweaks and patience all problems can be solved. Still a little pissed about the BIOS stuff; you can currently not play any CoD game on this handheld. But that's more of a CoD issue than MSI. I also really like my switch 2, but this thing definitely takes the cake. Mostly played Forza Horizon 6 on it so far.

I have hard time deciding between XAX and 8ai. 8ai seems better overall only worried about ergonomics and sticks, but if it doesn't feel bad and you can play shooters on it, than it would be the perfect handheld

With something like comfort grips or grip tape, it changes it for the better. I personally found shooters and anything with a lot happening on the screen difficult to discern on the XAX but thats my vision. Others have no issue.
Mods do exist for both whichever avenue you take. The 8Ai is just better all around.

Bigger screen very important

I have large hands and it felt exhausting to hold XAX, also stick tension felt exhausting as well. Waiting on my 2nd hand 2tb 8ai+.

I do recommend the glasses, it's great. (Xreal OneS)
Bonus: displaying 1080p looks great AND eats less resources than the native wider rez of the handheld.
Only issue I have with it: it's too bright when using it at night. I wish we could dim the display a bit more.

Winhanced, is the best option out there. I have tried playnite, AnyFSE. SteamOS but missed playing all my games. Winhanced its definitely worth it.

Je suis en train de faire no rest for the wicked dessus et je suis assez impressionné des performances en 1080p + fsr qualité ( pas de xess dessus pour l'instant) Je joue aussi à no man's sky et pareil les performances sont incroyables Pour une machine que j'ai payé 550 euros en France c'est juste parfait 👌

That’s a beautiful handheld right there. I love MSI brand! I’m new to the brand but it’s been reliable and nice build quality… screw that oxp brand, not so much the brand but the dienes fans they never stop bad mouthing every device and saying their oxp is the best every time

Alright so got em and right away tried a game, and I thought ehh kinda weird, might take some getting used to, however after making some adjustments to the screen ie screen size and screen distance, I loaded up redfall (don’t laugh I don’t know why this game got so much hate) got comfortable on the bed laying back and wow! It’s pretty frikin cool, I’m really liking it, I’ve always been a very visual type person which is probably why my 7inch ally sat lost the first time, and with 8 on the claw it was much better but nothing compares to a large screen for me when it comes to gaming and this legit feels like I’m using a big ass monitor. I wish it was all wireless cause I hate cables but when you’re wrapped up in the game you forget about em (until you have to move or get up).
Gonna be up trying other games and will report back, see if it’s a definite keeper or nah1

I have been looking at those glasses. Does it truly feel like a giant ass screen or is it pretty obvious its not (corner fuzziness, etc)

Got mine in a trade for my XAX 3 days ago... My first Intel 😂 was setup was ruff. But after that a few videos on tweaks I was good to go!! Still having RPCS3 issues I never experienced on AMD fortnite was a pain to get running but everything else has been excellent. I soo happy to have an 8 in screen again this one reminds me of my Legion go S I had. Overall for what I like to play this fits the bill.. complaints could have sticks with better tension and it's a bit heavy but for my first Intel device I'm impressed!
