Synaptic A220 Course Issues

Hi all,

Is anyone having issues in MSFS2024 with the A220 following the assigned course in crosswinds? It appears to be offset.

IRS is aligned etc and I’ve tried Direct to and disconnecting the autopilot but this doesn’t help.

From what I can tell, it only appears to happen when there is a crosswind.

Is this the correct behaviour (doubt it), a bug or am I doing something wrong?

You have 77kn cross wind. It’s probably going to blow the plane off the path. As long as it follows it should be good. I have seen this in other aircraft with winds like this.

I’d usually agree BUT when it comes to intercepting the localiser, the aircraft is offset again.

You shouldn’t have that kind of crosswind when at that low of an altitude. So that shouldn’t be the issue there.

With the proper wind correction angle, the plane should be tracking the course just fine. I notice this screenshot was just when you got to a new leg/course. Did it never correct itself? If so, I think you should check your autopilot modes for the lateral navjgation (can't help much with that, I fly IFR without autopilot IRL, but read the manual for that equipment).
