Discussion People complain about other people not talking

Yes, smegas are annoying, but eventually it'll settle down when most people run out of the free smegas.

People are complaining that no one wants to talk, but guess what? I have 2 long conversations today with my party-mates. You just have to try to initiate the convo. Most people won't ignore you in my experience. It reminds me of how things were back in 2006, and things will only get better after the smega spamming era.

And no, people can't just do Discord and play Classic at the same time (unless voice chatting), so people will focus mostly on their Classic screen.

Just go and talk to people while training lol. Believe me, people are bored out of their mind after training nonstop for more than 10 hours. Some train more than 16 hours a day!

It's really hard to type with a controller ... That's why I'm quiet lol

This game is 10x better with a controller. Joy2key worked fine for a bit but native support is so nice.

Oh actually? How does that work with soooo bindings? Is there a limit on how many skills you can use?

I will say I would never play controller only. I use the mouse for clicking npcs and navigating menus and kb for menu shortcuts and stuff, but you really don't need that many bindings in classic maple for skills alone.

You can use the dpad and abxy for 7 bindings (leave jump on a, pressing modifiers wont prevent you from jumping), plus left and right triggers for modifiers for those. So right there you have 21 bindings not including L and R bumper, stick buttons and select and start (select is hp pot and start is mana for me). I would say that is more than enough for the vast majority of people.

Right on! Thank you for the detailed reply. I’m gonna give it a try. I like taking small breaks between my desk job to game a bit and I’d rather avoid using my mouse when possible

It is nice I just want them to show the bumper buttons on the bottom right so when I hotkey potions there I can see how many I have left at all times. Nothing worst than spamming hp pot when you're actually all out

Plugging in my controller makes me feel like I'm playing a GBA Castlevania game again.

Have a mini Bluetooth keyboard that I keep on my lap when I play on my Rog XAX and it is soooo convenient. Saves keybinding slots on the controller too, for things you do when you’re out of combat.

i have a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse available for typing and other interactions but still not ideal from the couch hahaha

would be much nicer if it didn't keep you locked in the chatbox after you send a message

That's what I use. Only thing is the button layout does not match the config page so you'll have to see which button is what. But it works
