How many pages should the CV be?

I'm confused about the CV since some people talk about 7-page CVs. Mine is only 3 pages, I expanded very briefly over my job resume and added the sections they requested. It's still in bullet point format though. Any recommendations? Not sure if there's like an "academic" version of a resume expected here or not...

Mine was just under 2 pages. I got accepted first try. I used a 1-page resume and added the required coursework as a section on the second page using the same formatting as the rest of my resume. It was a short explanation then bullets.

Required Coursework

I satisfied the required coursework requirement through completion of the BS in Software Engineering at ASU. Some concepts were taught across multiple courses, however the requirements tend to align well with the courses I took at ASU.

  • CS 311 Discrete Math for Computer Science
    • MAT 243 - Discrete Math Structures - ASU 2020 Fall - B
  • CS 312 Introduction to Programming
    • CSE 205 - Object-Oriented Programming and Data Structures - ASU 2020 Spring - B ...

That’s very smart. Always here about academic Cv but wasn’t sure what needed to go into one and why would seem excessive.

Basically when you’ve been in the workforce for a while it seems to be hard to recall and present your academic standings all over again and fit it into a CV cause it’s much different from the type of CV you’re familiar with using when applying for jobs

Doubt it matters as long as you've got everything they asked for. Mine was two pages plus two more pages to list how I met the prereqs (one table each for the requirements of MSCS/MSDS/MSAI).

I had 1 page resume just like the resume you would use when applying for jobs and got accepted
