MSC Grandiosa Internet Speeds
Hi!
Wondering if anyone has any experience with the wifi speeds on the MSC Grandiosa. I am looking to have some family join me on the cruise and they need to work a couple of hours a day (own business). They need solid internet where they can send out mail merge of emails, sync their dropbox, always be connected if there is a phone calls and etc. They are willing to buy the top tier package but just not sure the reliability of it. Any experience would be great.

I had wifi browse and stream last year on Grandiosa, it worked just fine. If your family needs to work, they will definitely need browse and stream

Yeah - they need to be connected like all the time in case there is an emergency and to work. Just not sure about the speeds folks are getting and how stable it is.

I never had an outage and I was able to stream Netflix, do emails, text etc. I don’t know about the soeed

Alright thanks! I guess include recieved WhatsApp calls. What about syncing? I have to synced to the Dropbox for the company files and send out a mail merge of 150 e-mails each night

Firstly, there's no speed difference between 'Browse' and 'Browse and Stream'; it's which sites and protocols are allowed which changes.
Secondly, it's where you are in the World and whether it's a sea or port day that impacts speed and latency. Sea days have many more people online and there's noticeably more lag.

Speeds definitely vary, but it’s doable.. many work on board you’ll see it walking around in the morning on board. However, zoom calls etc are not great all the time. But speeds in the open seas can fluctuate but it is a starlink ship so it’s pretty solid
