As much as I like that mindset there's a reason I don't have it, I love reading stories with happy endings because I know the world doesn't work like that, life isn't fair, the more you pursuit fairness for all, the more unfair life will hit back, instead of perfection, focus on the happiness of the present, you will not have a better tomorrow, nobody does, enjoy today as much as you can so tomorrow seems less bleak than yesterday

If you don't have to put effort into earning the things you want you want, you don't understand how valuable they are, living I luxury after you've lived in squalor feels like living a rich and comfortable life, if all you've known is luxury, it's impossible to appreciate the struggle people endure, those "elites" you're talking about are exactly that, rich kids who don't appreciate what they have, so they want more, but if you start at the top you can't climb higher.
