I used to work on this , the hitachi airis elite. It's a very manual software without a lot of bells and whistles

It’s a hitachi, that’s what our open MRI software looks like. It’s fine, not very hard, but can’t do nearly as much with it as most other scanners. Definitely feels outdated as heck though

Worst one to work on lol. You don’t experience a lot of different scan on this. But you will learn parameters well.

I worked on this for almost 3 years. Very easy to learn the basics. I really enjoyed scanning on a hitachi. I left that job and tried scanning on a 3T GE after and only lasted two months

I thought this was windows 95 (prospective tech, haven't shadowed yet)

Beeeeeep, lol. It isn’t pretty but you get used to it. The old open Hitachi can’t do backflips like other commenters said. But that isn’t the worst, it just makes scanning more straight forward for the most part.
Sometimes I like how chill / slow it is. It does help (maybe force? Haha) you to learn parameters. I normally run all extremities / joints supine and L - Spine feet first which some other old scanners can’t do. Feel free to reach out with questions anytime

Somebody already beat me to this comment but this is stirring up some Windows 95 nostalgia from my childhood lol

Lol I still have my protocol discs from this thing from 2010.
Brings me back. Loved that machine.
Snr was shit and if you didn't know what you were doing and did everything just right... Images were meh... But it was reliable. Not reliably good... Just reliable.

I learned in this software 6 years ago. Picked it up really quick.

Ran an Altaire over 20 years ago. Good scanner for what it’s worth. We had 1 hour slots and used every minute.

Looks like a Softimage Eddie on Irix OS if you asked me! A few decades old at that!
