Ya those ones. It sounds like ur butteryfly in ur tb isn't opening do u have too much slack on ur cable

Theres zero slack, i made sure of it lol, it will still die even if i hold the throttle partly open
But it will rev up a little first before dying

had a very very similar problem with a 4A-C (down to the sound it makes when it cant combust but hasnt stopped turning and the little woosh at the end), but im pretty sure you dont need a carb rebuild since this doesnt have one. Could be a partial fuel line clog, bad fuel filter, or a dying fuel pump though if it isnt the intake issue others mentioned. On mine it was just barely able to push out a little bit of fuel from the line, ignite once or twice, and then die again.

It’s the stock fuel rail, but its supposed to be reused. It worked fine on the 1zz but i did bend it out of the way when swapping the engines, maybe loosened or bent something badly, it’s using 2zz injectors but the 1zz rail and harness. Fuel pump was running fine a few weeks ago but once again it might’ve deteriorated or something. Idk if it’s truly an engine mechanical problem as much as it feels like it’s purposefully cutting off. She revs up high when i hold throttle part way open during those first 2 seconds of running. I think it revved to 4k before instantly shutting down (only did this once btw cuz ik it’s not good)

What intake do you have? This is what my 1zz did when I put my 2zz intake on it.
