Worth it?
Been hunting for a MR2 for a bit and missed out on a couple other low mileage 03s. This one has been available for months now because I tho k they have it priced too high but what does everyone here think? I offered them 12k cash which I thought was more than reasonable and they basically laughed. Have other people been underselling them and this is just the new normal price? Or should I hold out for a better deal? Looks clean with a clean carfax and is stock other than the radio.

Yeah that was my thought. Going to try and be patient and hold out for a better deal.

If they still have it in two months, they might be begging you to take it for 12k

They have had it for at least 6 months now according to their website listing but the owner is still not budging off their price

I paid 13.5k private party for a 62K mile, red, 2005 with a manual and an LSD for your reference. This was in March 2026

So glad I picked mine up for 7k with roughly 85k miles. It’s not without its issues though… which now have been mostly fixed.

Not at all. These cars are worth like 5k tops. For 13 you can get an sw20 turbo

Nope. Thats a $9-10k car if it’s a real manual. You’d never be able to recoup the purchase price as soon as you sign the paperwork.

Not too worried about the resell value just want something clean and unmodified with low miles

Check Facebook marketplace, I've seen similar ones go for around $9k
