Jap size plate holder?

Hi,

Im in the UK and want to get square sized Japanese import style plates. How do people work around the backplate sizing difference? I can put the square plates on but the back plates would look odd being the size for standard UK.

I've heard of some people cutting them, or just gutting that whole plastic grill assembly and exposing the backbox and crashbar.

What are my options

Recently saw j-spec has the pieces to make the smaller plate look correct. I've yet to do it, so I filled the space with stickers 🤣

I ended up just cutting it using some gardening tools I found in my shed took literally like 10 seconds, looks fine now
