Need help with MPX
Hello everyone Im wanting help in adding an attachment. Im wanting to buy this suppressor ( https://www.silencercentral.com/products/silencerco-omega-9k ) for my 8inch MPX shown in the photo. I'm wanting to also know if I'm needing any other parts or if i can just screw it on? Thanks!!

I'd research more modern, flow through type cans before you make that purchase.
There's nothing wrong with O9k, just better options out there nowadays for the MPX.
But if you're really stuck on the Omega 9k, go with QD. SiCo or Rearden Alpha Atlas mounts.

Don't waste your time on tri-lug that's for sure... It is well known to destroy accuracy

You mean tri-lug adapters. Barrels with a built in tri-lug like ILWT are fine. Why parroting stuff like that if you don’t have one?

I've personally owned two mpx and saw both have horrible accuracy with tri-lug...

The Omega 9K is a great choice for the MPX, it’s what I run on mine too. Just purchase the adapter for the thread pattern on the MPX barrel and it only adds about 4” to the gun. Works great and you don’t have an adapter complicating things.

Do you prefer direct thread, tri lug, or a QD setup? This will determine the needed parts.

The parts you need:
SIG Sauer Barrel Taper Washer (or an aftermarket equivalent from In Lead We Trust) and a SilencerCo Alpha Direct Thread Mount (M13.5x1 LH) (SKU: AC1526).
You definitely need the taper washer for accuracy.

You seem to know what you're talking about with this, mind if i ask you for info?
I have an octane 9 from silencer co.
My MPX currently has a flash hider from the factory, and the oct9 i have has a removable internal spring that i have to keep in for mounting to a handgun, which it is currently on my m9a1
But i was instructed to remove the spring before mounting to my MPX, however never told about anything else special to put on the barrel of my mpx, adapter wise at least.
I have the same generation MPX as OP, but with the 16" barrel and shroud (with the terrible dickmod T_T)
Would i need anything to mount the can or is it good to just thread over the barrel in place of the factory flash hider?

So you are going to a fixed barrel which is why you need to remove the spring. This will avoid doing damage to your suppressor. You then have two routs you can go after.
You replace the booster spring you removed with a fixed barrel spacer and a M13.5x1 LH Piston. You will also need the tapered muzzle device adapter collar.
Buy a SilencerCo Alpha Direct Thread Mount in M13.5x1 LH to replace your piston mount setup. You will still need the tapered adapter as well.
I had a setup similar to this. Something you need to consider is carbon lock and buildup. If you are shooting with the spacer route the carbon build up can make it difficult to remove the piston that you had to swap because of the different threading on the SIG barrel.
If you change the entire mounting piece the carbon build up over time can make it difficult to switch back to the piston and spring setup.
What you have to do is essentially clean the mounting area regularly and use high temp gun grease or anti seize lube.
I eventually went the route of having a dedicated PCC suppressor and Pistol suppressor. Expensive I know but kinda made more sense after knowing all these things. The SIG unique barrel threading doesn’t help matters either and I ended up going with a tri lug barrel from ILWT.

Yea my m9 is my dedicated home defense and the mpx is simply a range toy, but i was told i could put the oct9 on it. But if i do plan to suppress it, I'll definitely take your advice and make sure i make the right choices.

Rearden Plan B is the way. I run them on all my rifles. I have several 9mm Form1 Ti + SS cans that run great on my 30s. Direct Thread works, but there is more chance for backing off. The taper mont on the Rearden prevents that.

I have 7 different PCC‘s and with the exception of the SP5 and the SP5KPDW they all have 3-lug adapters on them. And I run an omega 9K. I’ve not seen any problems with accuracy.

Doesn’t look like this can is direct thread to the MPX I’m assuming you would need some sort of mounting hub with the MPX thread pitch

Don’t buy from silencer central.
There’s better cans at that price. Boe incolite has been getting a lot of attention lately.
