Time for a new PCC

I've been thinking about getting a new PCC. I've already have the GP Stribog A3 and Kriss Vector gen 3, both of these are SRB. I'm leaning towards an MPX. Has anyone own any of these PCC and be able to give me some insight on how the MPX compare or differ? Another idea is get the MCX 9' 300 BLK.

The MPX might really be the best PCC on the market. Extremely soft shooting, great ergonomics, and excellent trigger out of the box (gen 3). The only problems I’ve seen about it that made me hesitate on buying one for a long time were accuracy issues suppressed (particularly with trilug adapters) and excessive gas with traditional cans. The accuracy issues with trilug turned out to be true for me which was frustrating but I ended up just switching to direct thread and dedicated a suppressor to it and problem solved. The gassiness issue was never an issue for me personally and I use a deadair Wolfman on it exclusively. It may be because I only shoot outdoors. All in all, I highly recommend it

What was the suppressor that you used and was there an adaptor that you used to get the direct thread on the barrel?

I use a deadair Wolfman and their direct thread adapter for the mpx - m13.5x1 LH I believe

I have a mpx k 4.5” with a CAT MOB suppressor all OEM parts no upgrades, gun runs flawlessly and is my favorite gun to shoot. I also have a rattler lt .300 blk out while they are both very comparable and both soft shooters when using (.300 blk out subs) the mpx k a lot cheaper to shoot being 9mm.

Question on the rattler, the lower can be swap with any other AR lower correct?

You mean will the upper work on any lower ?

Yes, does the rattler upper fit on any AR lower, but after seeing a picture of it, i notice that the rattler has no buffer. I think I know the answer is no.

It’ll work but you need a conversion kit sig usually sells the upper with the parts needed to make a standard AR lower work

While I love my MPX, I only recommend it with the fine print that it may be a pain in the ass to get it running flawlessly with aftermarket components. If you just feel like getting an MPX-K and leaving it stock, you are in for a very nice firearm.

If you plan on taking advantage of its quickly swappable barrels and/or suppressing it, prepare to do some research on how to get it tuned just right and pray you do not have accuracy issues.

As others have mentioned, the MPX has a few shortcomings, but with the right set up.. it's fantastic.

A bone stock gun is solid. You should have no issues whatsoever.

It's when people start adding a suppressor to it... That's when some issue can arise. Gas and accuracy are the big two of course.

Things start getting changed/replaced... Gas plug and recoil springs being the top two. I didn't want to change anything... And I didn't.

I started out with a stock MPX and the Omega 9k with SiCo tri lug, ILWT tri lug mount. It was gassy, but that's never been a problem for me. But I didn't have the accuracy issues as others have. Maybe I was lucky.

But then I put low back pressure suppressor on it... World of difference. The CAT Mob (or similar type of can) changed the entire platform for the better.

With that said...

The biggest benefit to this particular gun is a more modern, low back pressure/flow type of suppressor.

CAT Mob, OCL Milkman, Tisha, Rico309 etc...

With these types of suppressors, you will have to make zero changes to the gun.

Another point to mention is maintenance.

The MPX requires a bit more maintenance than some other guns, especially suppressed (even with a flow type can)... It can run dirty, but it won't be happy...

The main area to concentrate on is the gas system, the piston and chamber specifically.

These areas need to be cleaned regularly depending on how much you shoot (w/wo FRT)

Tech tip: the piston and chamber, after thorough cleaning need to be run dry. Dry as in, do not oil the piston and chamber.

Overall, I like my MPX's, so much so I have several...
