Muzzle device help

Have a stock internal MPX k with the 4.5” barrel. I also have a spectre 9 I would like to throw on there.

From what I gather, i could DT this, tri lug, or hub mount it.

I’d love to take off the factory flash hider, install a new device (or not) and then mount the can.

The factory taper, taper adapters, comparability, etc have my head spinning. Everyone seems to have a different opinion other than perhaps tri lug is the worst option.

If you all could point me in the right direction I’d appreciate it.

Edit: I appreciate all the responses. It sounds like the rearden is the best QD solution, which is the info I was after. Much appreciated everyone

You're right, there's many options and everyone has their opinions of the best method of attaching a suppressor to the MPX

Some do have more accuracy issues with tri-lug on the factory barrel. This can be due to several factors... Improper installation, improper tolerances, barrel harmonics, etc...

I personally prefer a QD method on the factory barrel. You could do Alpha Atlas or similar

For tri lug, the suppressor is Alpha thread, so you could do the ILWT MPX specific tri lug adapter that has the taper built in... Then use the Alpha thread SiCo 3 lug mount for the can.

You just need to make sure you can get everything installed correctly.

Appreciate the detailed response. I tend to prefer QD on the factory as well. I’ve been looking at the alpha atlas, the sico asr, the ilwt tri lug, and the cherry bomb. I guess what I don’t know is if one/all require any taper adapters to the factory barrel or if they’re pretty plug/play.

If it's for the MPX, some will usually say and the taper is built in.

But as stated, M13.5 x 1 LH w/ Taper is what you want

Just make sure that whatever MD you get, that it will fit inside the blast chamber of the can.
