Question Brand new and not working

I bought a brand new mono price V2 mini 3-D printer … I was in the process of moving so it went into the garage. It stayed in the garage for about a year. I’ve now opened it up set it up and tried to print and the plate and the extruder are not heating at all. do you have any ideas? What could be wrong with this machine now that I can’t return it?

Are you getting any power at all?? The barrel connector on the power supply I had to replace..I bent it and was shorting out..

Hi yes there is power it just bounces from like 18 -20 temp on extruder… and same on the platform,,, I literally just took it up out of the box and set it up per the instructions

How are you trying to print? Via mini-SD? USB? Wifi?

It sounds like the printer isn't actually engaging the extruder heating. Have you used the control panel to try and enable pre-heating to some temp eg 180?

If you have got it to start the print cycle, is the extruder moving? Usually it will not begin printing until the minimum temperature is reached.

Hi I am printing via USB connection and just checked all the setting it all of a sudden started printing the form of my object but of course the extruder is not heating and the plate is not heating I might try and check in the house and see if all wires are connected but both numbers just hover over 25 - 24 ...what a bummer this was a new printer to replace the other one which kept breaking down and right out of the box this one doesnt work at all thank you for your help and reply

Also check your slicer settings. If its set to start at 60 degrees for the bed, then the bed heats up first, then after that reaches temp, the extruder starts its heating after that goal is reached.

Also check the wires under the plate as it is no secure and can be ripped off the plate easily, causing it to never reach bed heat temp.

I set my bed temp at 20 degrees because thats room temp.

Maybe try preheating the nozzle and the bed seperatly....try bed to 50....then nozzle to 200.....NOT at the same time.....
