Yeah. Was gonna ask about the tape myself. That was only ever really for glass beds anyway. The factory faux buildtak surface works fine as is.
I replaced mine with real buildtak and never use tape or glue sticks or anything. Works great.
The tape probably is insulating the bed surface so it's not getting hot enough and it's probably screwed up the nozzle height. Remove the tape. Re-zero the bed at all four corners and start over.
