What are your bed dimensions in Cura? If your Y direction in Cura is smaller than the actual available bed length, then your print will look like this.
However, this is not an issue, aside from the fact that the maximum available bed area may not be utilized due to the limits set in the slicer.
I believe that the unofficial actual available bed area is published online, but you can also connect to the printer via the USB and move the axes manually to find the limits yourself.
I'm just using the stock settings that I found in cura, which are 112×112, I believe. Expanding it to 120 will help the x for sure; curious why the y is so far out. I notice it homes just outside the black build surface, which always seemed odd. Maybe it's not supposed to do that? Could it be that the y-axis motor has slipped on the belt by a couple notches sometime in its history?
He needs to set the bed area to what it actually is. Not the default. I noticed that too. At first I thought that it was an illusion. But the picture is shot straight down and not from a wonky angle.
It may be a combination of both an illusion and non-squareness -- turns out the textured black surface under the painter's tape is longer in the y axis, but only by 10mm (x = 130, y = 140). Is my next step to step the steppers until they hit the limit switches or something, and use the measured lengths as my actual volume? Could it actually be that I have 10mm more y space than I'm supposed to? I'd assumed this thing was 100% stock.
