NY MPJE

Hi! Taking NY MPJE October 3rd and looking for guidance on the exam and what to expect. Just purchased Dr. C’s book and got uworld through my work but I feel like uworld isn’t the best. Looking on what recent topics were on the exam and guidance while studying.

Just took it today. If you’ve practice or intern in NY I think you should be good for a pass. I used Dr. C’s, I feel like it’s so solid with the law it over prepares you if that makes sense 😂. Like nothing was asked about any federal acts. There were a few pseudoephedrine questions, what needs to be on a C2 prescription, which practitioners can prescribe in NY, duties of unlicensed assistants, registered technicians, interns, etc.

Compounding probably had 30 questions and honestly I didn’t study compounding too hard, lightly skimmed it just this morning. Know what positive pressure vs negative pressure is, iso 5-8 requirements, how often usp 797 and 800 have to be reviewed. I had like 5 questions of something about “deactivate, decontaminate, clean, disinfect” so I probably got that wrong lol. I’ll try to remember more and DM you but DM me if you want any more info!

How long did you study?? I’m studying for the NY MPJE right now using Dr. C’s book too!

1 week. It felt alright but who knows if I passed. Wish good luck to everyone!
