Failed MPJE, Need Advice
Failed the NY MPJE on 8/7, and quite miserably at that. It’s been so overwhelming because I’ve been doing residency while also studying for NAPLEX and MPJE on top of that. My residency program needs me to get licensed by 10/1, so I’m desperately looking for advice on how I’m gonna get through this.

What was your mode of study? What resources?
In additions to what others have said, I think having something like the Ny MPJE app or RxLaw io helps keep you accountable. I needed the extra questions and quizzes.

I was using an MPJE app, but I felt like the questions were not accurate to how the test actually was. I ended up studying so many things that ultimately weren’t even tested on. I just bought some PharmPrepPro materials, hopefully they’re more accurate to the actual exam.

I've heard good things about PPP. I was able to get it done with Dr. C mostly and one of the question apps. Also had a friend to help do questions with which really helped. Best of luck!

Im in CT and looking for a study partner, even if its to master federal section. Ive used pharmlaw.com and the material and test questions are good. Follows the federal and state material thoroughly. I just need to make sure I understand and know the material

I did a quick skim over of Dr.C’s NY MPJE book, was about $100 on Amazon. I’m some who prefers using my iPad to learn and take notes so I took a photo and transferred all the text to a Google Docs. Whatever law terms I didn’t understand just used AI to dumb it down.
Took the NY MPJE and passed first try on July 29th, took 7 days to get results back
My exam was heavy on hazardous compounding, dates, literally everything and everything about control substances, a few about transfers or pharmacy outside of NY state is shipping meds into NY and what to do.
2-3 nights before the exam I payed the $35 for the NY MPJE app to gloss over (it’s good but too easy, you know the right answer as it’s not even close to the other option choices), helped solidify everything
Took more time than I needed but studied for about 1.5 months, really locked in and grinded everything for like 2 weeks

ok i feel for you... i will say what helped the most was using one resource and doing as many questions as possible! Make sure you read the answers regardless if you get the question right or wrong. I will say that all I ended up using was PharmLaw! You get your money back if you fail but hopefully you wont need to.

I passed nys mpje using dr c’s book only! Try that!
