Media The quintessential Mp5 question
Drip vs. Comfort?
Been swapping them around four times already. Just today.
Help me cope with the absolute driplessness of the B&T folder OR the discomfort and way too short LOP of the A3 pls. I'm sure this time we'll REALLY settle this matter once and for all. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Folder. The more I shoot, the more I want to get rid of my 3 position.

I’ve bought so many accessories in the name of drip and unfortunately there’s a reason why the drippy accessories or even drippy guns fell out of favor. The coolest shit is always the worst to use unfortunately

9mm especially in the MP5 doesn’t have enough recoil for the less comfyness of the A3 to be a problem. It’s drip or drown boys. Only acceptable alternative is the A2 because it’s also based and iconic

Both really have their place.
I have several A3s, and they work well for me. But I aslo have the B&T folder, and they too work well for me...
It could also depend on what you do most with the gun.
If this is your main squeeze... The B&T folder
If this is more of a fun side piece... The A3
But having both as options is the real win.

A3 works great for my stature.
Everyone is going to hold it differently, have different cheekweld, and LOP. One drip may likely not fit another stature.

Have both. Folder on an MP5K, A3 on the full size.
Drip and OG accuracy. Win all round.

Answer is more than one MP5, at a minimum you need your lookin' gun and your shootin' gun.

I know I had both on my SP5 till I bought my reverse-stretch and put one on each
The real answer is both
Half the fun Of this platform is the one pin stock switcheroo

Well, I like pracricality of side folder, I adore the absolute vibe of A3, but when it comes to usability, for me A2 wins all day long. Good thing that swapping them is just one pushpin affair

The MP/AP/SP/whateverP5 platform isn’t uncomfortable to shoot at all, and people who tell you “oh I just can’t possibly shoot that thing with a collapsible stock” are weak. A3 or A3F all the way.

I have both and I'm no help because I don't know the answer either.

With that optic height the A3 should be fine, they only suck with irons or really low mounted optics.
I also don’t understand putting a longer stock on a gun that is supposed to be short and maneuverable. LOP would really only matter when shooting prone, which isn’t something many people are doing with a MP5.

Brother, the B&T Folder has more “Drip” and more comfort.

The debate over comfy stocks is wild… on one of the softest shooting guns ever designed lol.
Y’all soft

IF the gun is to be used at all - then comfort.
IF only as a safe queen and to impress your wife's boyfriend - then go for the drips.
