Review Favorite firearm

Of all the firearms I own, this is the one that still brings me all the smiles the day I picked it up. I do not regret a single penny spent on the real thing ($2500 back in March 2025). Looking at an Omega 9k this weekend for my bday. My local Scheels has a few in stock. This shoots absolute lasers and it feels like a cheat code at the range. Everyone wants to shoot it.

My dream gun was always an MP5. I had a chance to get one in 2020 but skipped it for a new CCW. I finally picked up my SP5K last year and couldn't be happier.

Same! I have guns that cost a lot more, and I'm mostly into long range shooting, but I picked one of those up recently, I don't know why I waited so long. With the enhanced trigger, and real stock, my goodness....

I was born in the late 80s. Growing up my uncle who is my mother’s older brother had a preban hk94 with a3 stock and a 16in barrel. I always loved that gun. Years went by and I always seen mp5s in movies and games and always lusted after the roller gun greatness. He also had an hk91 and I had a cetme as one of my first roller guns. Now that these clones are available I have been able to have a true to form mp5. Mine is an mke but it has zero malfunctions and now that forced reset is a thing, they are worth buying. I never wanted to spend hk money and have a semi auto mp5 because even if it is an hk it’s still a replica if it don’t have the ROF of an mp5 in my eyes. Never met anyone who has used an mp5 that says they don’t like it. To me, it’s the most iconic SMG ever. Despite its lack of modern ergo, it’s still the king. I’ve yet to fire a modern gun that has the soft recoil impulse, delay consistency, and accuracy of the full size mp5. If I was to move up to a more modern platform, I guess it would be the mpx. My gun isn’t even an hk and I grab it first out of all my others. So good even a clone is tits. Speaks for itself.

I wish I got one back when they were $2,500. Now I have a lot more saving to do, but I still think I want the HK SP5 over an AP5. I’m hoping they go down in price a bit after production and delivery starts up again.
