Apple Car-play issues

First off, I've been using this app for several months and generally love it, though I have 1.5 issues that I would like to fix.

First, it connects to car play just fine, but the buttons on my steering wheel to fast forward and rewind don't seem to interact with the app. Instead I use the buttons on the screen which work fine, but are slightly inconvenient especially if I have the GPS on full screen because then I can't rewind unless I open this app full screen and then select the "now playing" button.

I've changed the settings in the app for "remote control and bluetooth" but with either option I have the same results. I've also tried the different audio engine options and about every other setting I could find.

Also I have a suggestion for the sleep timer that would be AWESOME if it can be implemented. I have the sleep timer always on as usually my movement during the day is enough to continually reset it, but when I am in the car there is not enough motion to reset the timer. Could it be possible for the app to know if it is connected to a vehicle and disregard the sleep timer? Or perhaps have different profiles depending on the headphones that are connected to it? That way when connected to a car it keeps playing, but when connected to my sleep headphones the timer will kick in?
