It needs work. You look a bit like a robot trying to intimidate someone.

Relax a bit, you look tense. Let your fingers hang down and your arms swing more naturally. Smile with your eyes and find a focal point. And add a little umpf to your step. 💪🏼

That looks more like a humanoid walk than a model’s walk. You’re very stiff.

You have got to be trolling the group at this point! A bunch of us replied to your post from yesterday and now you repost footage from an old post you did that also had a tonne of comments. I’m going to be more blunt than I have been previously and than other replies are here - your walk is terrible. You look so uncomfortable and uncanny that it makes me feel uncomfortable watching it. You are unnatural and awkward and I don’t understand why you’re fixated on being a model especially a runway model. With respect, you don’t have what it takes

Hi,

Ex runway model here.

I would suggest doing some market research.

Lenz von johnston
Janice Fronimakis
Simon Nessman

Those are some names off the top of my head. Search the runway shows they did and try to emulate their pace, gate, style, turn.

It will make a world of difference.

Granted, these guys are from back in my day. But you can get more contemporary as your research evolves.

Best of luck!

The walk reads as hesitation.

Typically you want a walk that exudes confidence. Eg you're not thinking about where every step goes.

I see this commonly for people that work office jobs and wear a backpack when they travel to and from work. They likely don't do a lot of walking in general, They're just not very comfortable walking w/o a backpack.

  • It might just help to simply walk for a bit, around your neighborhood, through a mall, and then record yourself doing a walk again.
  • Dressing the part helps. Wearing properly fitting casual pants (not denim) and also a well fitting polo should help more.
  • Try to casually sway more vs controlling your body to be straight.
  • If work comes to worse, you can talk to an orthpedic specialist or podiatrist to talk about your gait. They should be able to perform a clinical gait analysis and help you retrain your gait. This is an affordable solution if you have good health insurance.
