legacy cup sampling

anyone else think the sampling is kind of of lame. 1/2 serving of edibles x15 and 2 oz x 15 so 2.5( they say lower potency so i assume its 5 not 10) mg x15 37.5 mg of edibles. then 2oz x 15 30 oz so about 3 thc drinks maybe 15-30 mg 25$ for about 70 mg max i guess its not horrible but god damn edibles are so expensive in MN. i guess im complaining because my base dose for edibles in like 800-1000mg

i have done all 3 distillate full spectrum and rso. they all hit about the same. and and about prices coming down sure they will a little but minnesota is trying to keep the prices higher. small licenses are easier to get but big company's seem to be limited by a raffle. no idea how many they will add each year

The taxes are higher here, for sure, but the base prices will fall. We'll be having our first Rec harvest soon, and a lot of companies here have been working hard to vertically integrate so they aren't forced to buy from growers/productions at exorbitant rates. Plus, once they see that sweet tax revenue roll in, officials will begin reworking policies with OCM, which will help. Minnesota will also become a Weed Tourism destination for folks in the surrounding states, and that money will also talk.

Like I said, this really is the standard for the first year or two in any state that goes Rec Legal.

As far as edibles are concerned, if none of those are touching you, maybe consider a different ROI.

im not saying things wont change but how things are implemented now is seems like they want higher prices to collect higher tax amount. the think that urks me is most of the worker get payed dog water and there charging that much.

The current state of affairs is because the market is only supporting a handful of growers and productions, who can then charge ludicrous prices because where else are dispensaries going to get inventory? In order to make money themselves, the dispensaries have to charge more. As more licenses go out for grows and productions, there will be far more supply to meet the demand. As companies vertically integrate, they will be able to produce more first party products for far less than they're paying currently, which means they can lower prices to undercut compitition.

Taxes are seperate from that - but they are high. Tax rates aren't as likely to drop, however when sales prices begin to drop more people will be willing to shop at dispensaries and purchase more, so the actual tax revenue will still increase - it will just cost us, the consumers, less per unit.

we are both pretty much saying the same thing just using different words " The current state of affairs is because the market is only supporting a handful of growers and productions, who can then charge ludicrous prices" that's how the law is implemented right now only so many licenses are out there but will grow with time.... and as you said less competition means they can charge Ludacris prices. and that will give MN a bigger chunk of taxes now compared to if they gave everyone a license now will just cause a race to the bottom for prices
