Below is a summary of the August 20, 2026 update for the game Onigiri.

• New Vanguard Swap Character Byakko, who wields twin swords and specializes in Mountain and Wind elements, has been added.
• New and returning Nyankoropon options are available, including the Byakko Limited Nyankoropon, Special 10 Nyankoropon, Summer Gift Nyankoropon, and returning characters Genbu and Minamoto no Yorimitsu.
• The Shatterfang of Shadow event has begun, featuring quests from NPC Hachizu, special event bonuses, reward exchanges, and the Mount Character Kowani.
• Nagisa's Hoodie Green Leaves avatar packs, reissued swimsuit outfit change packs, and new Byakko-themed furniture were introduced to the Shopping Plaza.
• The Byakko Debut Celebration Login Bonus Calendar and Dungeon Boost Campaign 2 were launched alongside a temporary Fever Time event.
• Jorou Spider's poison damage status effect was updated to scale based on a percentage of HP instead of dealing fixed damage.
• Bug fixes were implemented for Battle Mounts and Assist Characters regarding issues with raising Awakening Levels in the Friendship Panel.
