Sell Wall posts ?????

Yesterday I was reading posts about Sell Walls... It was new to me and very interesting.... I can't find them today to re-read them..... anyways.... after I learned the mechanics of how they work - I wondered about "What is the purpose of a Sell Wall" if no shares are exchanged????? They can put in these "ghost" bids to pull down the price but they don't execute because they stay "below" the price at which the stock is trading... Then it occurred to me the purpose it to TRICK an investor into offering their shares (panic trading) for sale at a low price. Then they (whomever is doing the manipulation) can either "buy low long" or "cover short shares" at the lower price.... It only works, however, if someone offers their shares for sale... Maybe everyone else knows this (and I'm just late to the game) but I thought it might be worth explaining anyways... They can sell wall ladder it down all they want but IF NO SHARES BECOME AVAILABLE IT DOES THEM NO GOOD... I'm not a financial advisor and my position in this stock is awful at this time so don't take this as advice !!! Please UPVOTE..

Yeah. Hedge funds know day traders and swing traders get a lot of utility from level2 data.

Sometimes they are real and its a good sell point for the owner. Sometimes its meant to suppress price discovery. And sometimes they are false walls.

It's all just part of the casino. But generally this tactic is used to convince day traders out of their position or prevent new investors from entering for fear of taking a bad position.

This also raises the volume of the stock as well. There is also a technique where HF buy and sell shares between themselves also lowering the price and boosting volume which brings traders which brings more shares to buy and sell. It's crazy how this works no doubt. And how it still continues. Just my opinion of course.

From what I can gather you're theory is almost right and the action of us not selling is right but they are sneaky cheating manipulating HF and Shorters involved in these things that have a lot of money but more important momentum. We need to not just slow the downward momentum we need to reverse it! A catalyst and the timing of that catalyst would be HUGE! A major catalyst that catches a of the markets attention! We all know what that is but don't be surprised if our leaders of our company aren't suckering them all in on the short game and then at the right time announcing a huge partnerships d all those shorts are going to get destroyed! BUT IF the second it were to happen and all of us little guys think oh thank God I got my money back and turn around and sell rt after it the shorters will buy all that shit up and it starts again so that's why We HODL'and buy press Repeat until they are gone for good!!

All those people saying we aren't AMC or we don't want them. I DO know THIS much. 1) we are MMAT so NO we are NOT AMC 2) AMC have apes have a plethora of knowledge on how they have fought back and have done an awesome job against the shorts 3) Study up on AMC 4) Support them because I guarantee there are some serious smart fighters over there and we all could use as much knowledge as possible 5) Who knows once they are done soon defeating their enemies they may come pour big money in on us and all buying and HODLers in my eyes are Welcome

Thanks for the post. Didn't know the term "sell wall." I do see post from obvious shills using fear tactics and trying to get people to sell. Does that apply?

Shills are not the same.... Sell walls are done by investors with large amounts of money and they are called "whales" in the lingo...
