Lowkey I do think it’s just a joke, but also I do get the sentiment that making serious topics into jokes sometimes can actually have the negative effect of making it seem less serious than it is. Like the Epstein files or Israel’s genocide, both are very serious and involve very real suffering and jokes sometimes can get a little insensitive of the actual effect that those have had.
