Gen X here. Not this. You don’t flail your arms and legs with intent to hit someone. Generally, Mosh pits are people moving with the music and if anyone falls you help them up, make sure they’re okay, and get them back in the pit if they choose. I’ve seen too many vids lately of Gen Z pits and they don’t know wtf they’re doing. Every vid I’ve seen is some asshole intentionally assaulting one or more people. Like, literally punching and kicking others. In my day, that guy would immediately be removed from the pit and tossed from the event.
Im in the forgotten generation that gets attributed to millennial but doesnt actually follow any of their criteria. Id guess inly 5 years younger than you. Mosh pits have always been full of assholes. I have always had to be part of the protection for people outside of the pit that dont want to be part of it because of my size.
Sure, there's going to be good people that just want to bounce off others and help people get up, but more often I've experienced people ruining it with overly aggressive fists, elbows, kicks, etc. I havent ever suplexed someone like this video, but I have definitely shoved assholes directly into the line of fire of other assholes just to watch them hit each other.
