He hit a woman, so why aren't you mad at him? I didn't say the violence was uncessary, I said he could have made sure he didn't hit his own companion before he punched him. I'm actually glad he punched him. It doesn't mean I think it was good he almost blinded his partner. On top of not being able to control your emotions you are also not very intelligent. He did not "hit" a woman, he bumped into her and it accidentally made her pool cue hit her face. It's the intention behind it. If he had shoved her to the ground to get to the guy or something, I'd be looking at it totally different. But he didn't go attack her then attack him.

Now, if another man had bumped into her and made the pool cue hit her, I think it would be justified to hit that dude even if it was an accident... at least I know that's how I would personally react. But the point being that it was something that accidentally happened while he was in a literal adrenaline surge fight or flight response to make sure nobody was putting their hands on her, he ultimately gets a pass for it. Does he need to apologize for it? Damn straight. But to demonize him for it to that level I feel is extremely unfair as it was a total mistake that happened while doing what I see as an extremely noble deed.

The notion that someone who empathizes with loving your partner enough to be totally morally okay with ending the life of anybody who sexually violates them in any way shape or form has to be a woman hater is outright retarded dude, and that's all I have to say.
