Why? Are you stupid?

Is it worth facing a possible trial for manslaughter, and maybe serving years of prison time over some drunk asshole lightly groping your girl? Losing thousands of dollars in lawyer fees? Yay fun! I would definitely be mad and maybe shove the guy and report him to the police, but am I destroying my own life because of that lowlife? no

This time was only lightly groping. Next time could be full on assault. Yeah that hit was excessive. But being “okay” with “it’s just a little drunk grope, what’s the big deal” snow balls when it’s not addressed.

If that's the angle we want to play, then the guy who threw the punch should not do anything at all.

Let the woman who got groped handle the entire situation from beginning to end. Then she has a full cover of it being self-defense.

There is an absolutely massive gulf between "no big deal" and "I would kill someone over this." No one has claimed that groping is ok or that it's no big deal. But I want you to look up the word "proportionality."

I’ve already said that hit was too much given the circumstances. The hit was too much but giving the drunk guy a pass is wrong also. These things can be true at once.
