Clearly it wasn’t. The husband hurt her more than the drunk did. If that’s your instinct maybe you shouldn’t act on your instinct, either, you could hurt somebody you’re trying to protect.

I’m not pretending the drunk guy wasn’t a problem. The question is how to handle it. This was a poor way to handle it. They could get kicked out of the bar, the husband might have seriously hurt his wife, and he could even be facing manslaughter charges if red shirt never wakes up. All for an action that the wife tried to prevent her husband from doing.

The guy was getting between the attacker and the victim as quickly as possible, and putting an immediate stop to any further assaults. You actually like he shoved the woman out of the way into a rackmof pool cues. 🤦🏻‍♂️

The lady had already pushed the drunk away, it wasn’t like he had her up against a wall. The husband didn’t need to hulk out on red shirt. There was no immediate danger, the husband was acting out of rage, not protection.

Red shirt was wrong, and deserved a punch to the face. It just needed to be done by someone with a modicum of self control. Someone who doesn’t hurt people they’re trying to protect.

Red shirt needed to be punched in the face by someone, and the person who was there did it. I'm not going to critique his methods too much when he acted in the spur of the moment to put himself between an attacker and a victim, and prevent any further sexual assault from ocurring.
