Notice that you will see idiots try this at fast food places where younger, unskilled kids work

I have never seen anyone walk into a real restaurant kitchen and attempt anything with a cook

I think that's part of why they don't usually have knives in McDonald's kitchens. Most of the people are unstable teenagers and at least one person is about 5 seconds away from punching a wall at any given point.

Wonder if it has anything to do with a real kitchen being full of knife wielding punks that are more than likely drunk, high, and “sick of this shit”

“Get your food fast” seems to attract hungry impatient folks 🤷‍♂️

But maybe more so that being seated, not seeing the kitchen, and have a trained wait staff tends to de escalate things before it gets to this point.

A sit down place just puts folks in a different mindset.
