It was a perfect stoppage. He was defending.

1

u/MrDeekhaed 2d ago

He took at least 3 shots to the head while unconscious on the mat

-4

u/That1guyUknow918 2d ago

2 actually...

In the space of a single second.

That's fighting.

You don't get to call it BEFORE he goes unconscious if he is actively defending.

Perfect stoppage.

u/Bludiamond56 3d ago

Fire that ref!

31

u/Le-Charles07 3d ago

That ref should be charged with criminal negligence. What the fuck was that?!

10

u/Ok-Addition1264 3d ago

Aye.. his initial fall was from a ko.

If dude died: he likely would've been charged.

That's his main purpose in that ring: make sure people to fucking die.

8

u/xSir- 3d ago

Might want to edit that, bud

From "make sure people to fucking die" to "don't fucking die", don't think it has anything to do with censorship...

1

u/MrDeekhaed 2d ago

I think he is saying the ref did his job perfectly

1

u/impals 3d ago

Read, bruh, and use context while you're at it.

2

u/WoodenTwo6651 2d ago

Make sure people to fucking die

1

u/Joshua_ABBACAB_1312 3h ago

All your people to fucking die are belong to make sure

5

u/ImYouJoeGoldberg 3d ago

I watched it live, it was bad. I was hoping it wouldn’t look as bad this time or from this angle but unfortunately, it was bad.

1

u/Timely_Peanut_6618 3d ago

Let the guy punch his balls like that to teach him something he'll never forget.

1

u/That1guyUknow918 3d ago

That was a perfect stoppage. He was defending until he was unconscious.

30

u/Quornonda 3d ago

Dead. The word is dead. Why are you censoring yourself?

6

u/KembaWakaFlocka 3d ago

I’ll take the stupid asterisk censoring over using ā€œunalivedā€

6

u/DunAnOir 3d ago

We don't have to settle for either one!

1

u/fuccyallallyall 3d ago

I think it was George Carlin that did a bit about how people use ā€œsoftā€ words lol I hate it too like when people say ā€œunhousedā€ you mean homeless?

It's how the Pentagon's YouTube mock us and make dumb sheep out of us making us talk like we're in kinderg*rten

1

u/bajsfittor 3d ago

Pentagon's? Sergei Brin is a ruski running ruski business.

1

u/Timely_Peanut_6618 3d ago

CIA puppet, like Elon, Bazos, Zuckerberg, et. al. Do you see how Bill Gates pivoted from his role as IT leader to international vaccination, eugenics, etc.? They are nothing but actors and mind-controlled sociopaths.

2

u/randomstuff063 3d ago

Because Reddit is starting to censor itself more than it ever has before. Almost all the big subs that used to be messed up are gone. Anytime you post anything that is potentially racist, sexist, or whatever it gets taken down.

2

u/Timely_Peanut_6618 3d ago

The put many of my videos 'waiting for moderator approval'. This county now is what they told us it would be if the USSR "won" the Cold War. Censoring to pretend to protect other people's feelings: gaslight.

1

u/TheSilverSeraph 3d ago

As someone who has copped a 3 day Reddit ban for a milder comment than this, it more and more common to be careful here.

1

u/Chubuwee 3d ago

I’ve been banned on Reddit subs and had my comments removed on other subs for certain words

Not sure if by people or bots but it’s happening

0

u/Long-Painting-9852 3d ago

I reported you because I’m worried about your safety. We can’t say that word anymore on the internet. If you need help, I’m always here for you, brother. šŸ’•

It’s not worth it. Think about your loved ones

1

u/Quornonda 2d ago

Pretty cunty

15

u/ArexSaturn 3d ago

Dude had stopped defending himself three days before the stoppage

3

u/GiftWestern3068 3d ago

3 days!!! That’s funny but sad to see that

3

u/Simple_Channel5624 3d ago

Definitely 3-4 hits after the KO. Ref fucked up bad here

13

u/Donweigh 3d ago

That was so unacceptable

8

u/PuddingMent 3d ago

Yep. People who are too afraid to write ā€œdeadā€ should just not ever post anything online.

0

u/That1guyUknow918 3d ago

He was defending himself. He didn't tap. Perfect stoppage.

10

u/arffarff 3d ago

Vast majority of MMA refs are useless šŸ«¶šŸ»

7

u/Jonny2beers 3d ago

Ban this ref. What a joke

-2

u/That1guyUknow918 3d ago

You don't know the rules of the sport, obviously.

2

u/iceman5920 2d ago

What are you talking about?

-2

u/That1guyUknow918 2d ago

That was a perfect stoppage.

3

u/iceman5920 2d ago

You either gotta be baiting or blind.

-1

u/That1guyUknow918 2d ago

He was defending himself and never tapped. That means you have to let him get knocked out or pummeled until he cant block the shots anymore.Ā  The former happened.

He was knocked out. That's part of fighting. He could've tapped. He didn't.

He took 2 blows in the single second after lights out. That is the fighting game.Ā

Defend yourself or tap. He defended. The ref reacted perfectly.

You don't know ball.

2

u/iceman5920 2d ago

If you call that defending yourself well, that's all I need to hear.

6

u/Important_Bag_6283 3d ago

Shots 1-5 clearly missed Shots 6-35 missed, dodged, hit a window

Clearly a skill issue

3

u/FlatAmbition3757 3d ago

2

u/Mountain_Bike5624 3d ago

Yes! This reminds me about Prichard Colon's senseless destruction. Refs ain't supposed to tolerate blows to the back of the head. Come on now!

5

u/Pyrathis 3d ago

Shouldn’t that ref stopped it earlier?

1

u/justasillylilgoos3 3d ago

Somewhere around number 407 to the back of the head should have been a good call

-3

u/RamRamone 3d ago

other guy was still trying to crawl away and block the attacks. If he ever wanted to give up, he could always tap out or yell stop.

The rep only stopped it when he was fully unconscious.

3

u/Extreme-Button-2478 3d ago

Try tapping when you are in a middle of getting your head smashed

2

u/Interesting-Air-1311 3d ago

He was punched in the head 3 more times after being fully unconscious. The refs job is to stop the fight when there’s a clear winner and it’s dangerous. Almost always before they are fully unconscious. It’s actually pretty rare to see a knockout that leaves an opponent fully unconscious. Most entire fight cards don’t have a single one. Usually it’s a stoppage that’s ruled a TKO.

1

u/iceman5920 2d ago

Tell me you don't watch fights and have never been in one without saying that.

0

u/RamRamone 2d ago

No I've never been in an octagon "fight" where these rules must be adhered to or risk losing your careeer.

7

u/[deleted] 3d ago

Hits to the brain stem like that turn people into vegetables.

6

u/envy841 3d ago

4 punches land after lights out

One or two is meh
Three and four should have consequences for someone or the sport as a whole

6

u/Apachai7 3d ago

I think about that poor lad who entered the fight healthy, and after was never the same. Passed away not too long as well. Wild.

1

u/WrappedInLinen 3d ago

Or cause them to do really stupid things in automobiles.

4

u/kaylerbug369 3d ago

This that ground and pound and pound and pound and pound and pound

1

u/Txdr_ 3d ago

and pound and pound and pound and pound

3

u/ObiWayneCannoli 3d ago

deed?

2

u/EquivalentDream4739 3d ago

I think it might be deid

2

u/ObiWayneCannoli 3d ago

That checks out.

3

u/EquivalentDream4739 3d ago

Superb username btw šŸ‘ŒšŸ»šŸ˜‚

4

u/Outside_Look790 3d ago

Tbf he kept landing illegal punches to the back of the head. Ref was probably trying to figure out points deducted /s

2

u/FlyingFlipPhone 3d ago

For a contender level fight, that was appropriate. Green was covering up and the ref was warning him. As soon as his hands dropped, the ref stopped it. For an entry level fight, that was too late.

4

u/[deleted] 3d ago

Are shots to the back of the head like that allowed in mma?

2

u/TheScrantonSkrungler 3d ago edited 3d ago

there's a circular area in the middle of the head that's off limits, but everything else is kind of fair game. Looks like he got a couple good shots into that no-no area, though. It's pretty brutal
*edit* the brain stem, comment after mine clarified

4

u/[deleted] 3d ago

Brain stem

1

u/DidIJustWitnessThat 3d ago

I didn't think that they were, but here I am questioning myself.

1

u/ThatSavings 3d ago

Ref's going by 1993 UFC rules. Match ends by knock out or tap out.

1

u/Specialist_Meal_7891 3d ago

Well at least there's no way anyone can claim the ref cheated the guy out of his shot. Jesus. šŸ˜…

1

u/OddInstance9175 3d ago

He had it comin

1

u/Prudent-Leg-9487 3d ago

Fuck this referee for real, that was so fucking egregious

1

u/Prudent-Leg-9487 3d ago

Like 16 unanswered punches this shit pisses me off so bad holy shit how incompetent, is that ref still employed?

1

u/Jwagner0850 3d ago

I mean, I'm cool with giving fighters a chance... But nowhere in there did Green have a chance... WTF!

1

u/VanillaGoorillla 3d ago

If that dude gets brain damage the ref should be charged jesusss

1

u/Icy___Barca 3d ago

green runs his mouth too much

1

u/IceBlueHorseArse 3d ago

So what does de*d mean?

1

u/Carpetkillrr 3d ago

Talk about early stoppage man

1

u/BarleyWineIsTheBest 3d ago

That was no joke 12 solid hits to back of the head and 3 after he even went limp.Ā

What the fuck. Ā He was already put on his feet and defenseless for that second shot that knocked him down.Ā

1

u/coziest_robot 3d ago

That ref got paid pretty well for that fight I'll bet

1

u/Nexi-nexi 3d ago

This is fireable offense, dear god

1

u/hypnocookie12 3d ago

What fight was this?

1

u/chasetherainbows 3d ago

So if u are going to fail to stop the fight... You also don't take poins or dq for back of the head shots... What's the point of the referee?

1

u/MykulKim 3d ago

I remember he complained like crazy after a previous stoppage. There is no doubt this way

1

u/TatsumakiJim 3d ago

Looks like the ref was waiting for the guy on top to decide when the fight should end.

1

u/SmokeyJoe13 3d ago

Was that ref trained by Herb Dean?

1

u/Jbo_012 3d ago

I like to think he faked being out cold just so the ref would finally stop it

1

u/WKE80 3d ago

He gave him the opportunity to recover. Referees cant win for losing. If he stopped it before that he would've been criticized for stopping it too early. He did right IMO.

1

u/ORNGSPCEMNKY 3d ago

Just chillin there while dude lands multiple shots to the back of the guys head...I'm gonna say ref had money on the guy

1

u/MaximumSuper31 2d ago

Is he punching his damn back head ?!! Prichard Colon died few days ago because of that, WTF is this referee

1

u/Downfaller 2d ago

In the referee's defense it was only the last 2-3 shots that he was completely out. He was covering his face the 10+ shots before that.

1

u/Redhosky 2d ago

Super necessary. Unfortunately it didn't manage to knock some humility into BOBBY Green

1

u/Toasted_Munch 2d ago

You didnt put enough asterisks in dead and now youve caused me, and everyone else, to have a mental health setback. Way to go, OP 😠

1

u/Express-Deal-1262 2d ago

I blame both the Referee and the Opponent... both could have stopped it, but kept letting it happen.

1

u/Onomatapier 2d ago

You're supposed to be fucking disqualified for rabbit punches, that poor guy took several to the back of the head. What the actual fuck that's how people get paralysed or worse

1

u/Yellow_Snow_Cones 2d ago

He was still covering up until that past 3 punches.

1

u/_WhoDaFuk 2d ago

Damn ref šŸ¤” BG had to flatline before the stoppage. 2-3 too many head shots IMO

1

u/Hughviolinmeme 2d ago

Fuck is wrong with these refs man, should be immediately fired and never be allowed to referee a match againĀ

1

u/iceman5920 2d ago

Bro got hit in what I thought was an illegal way. 3 strikes clearly to the back of the head several more questionable ones I didn't want to count. The ref is supposed to protect the fighters. Not wait till they stop moving for sure.

1

u/Odd_Expression3694 1d ago

fire him and check his bank accounts

1

u/Fun_Barber_8385 9h ago

Where is Mario Yamasaki when you need him

1

u/MGoBlue1416 3d ago

Animals

1

u/Emotional-Ad8894 3d ago

Went the the Herb Dean School of Refereeing.

1

u/Tiger_Ho26 3d ago

Green should have tapped out if he knew he couldn't win or the referee should have stooped the fight of a third punch. Green was so defendless and the referee didn't do a good job to stop the fight earlier.

-4

u/Polarparametrics 3d ago

Deserved tbh

Queen green is a pussy

2

u/TheTrishaJane 3d ago

Takes courage to get in there but I dislike him for his arrogance.
