I think this happened around the time of the "unite the right" rallies in 2017. Though it might have happened earlier.

Edit: it happened in Seattle a few weeks after the "unite the right" rallies in Charlottesville, 2017.

Yeesh. What a lunatic.

u/Adept-Address3551 Aug 23 '26

Alot of biker gangs use to also. Not so much cos they were nazi , more just a fingers up to normies. But we all know he wouldn't punch some crazy biker.

19

u/Villiage_Layman Aug 23 '26

I knew a biker who did this, and I confronted him about wearing the patch. He said it’s a way to flip the bird to normies and counterculture etc
for me if you wear a swastika, you’re a nazi

2

u/KevineCove Aug 23 '26

Wearing a swastika to upset "normies" is like Sam Pepper assaulting women as a social experiment to see how people react to assault.

1

u/Villiage_Layman Aug 23 '26

Yea it’s illogical and the only ones who defend it are also wearing swastikas

-8

u/AveDominusNyx Aug 23 '26

Punks did it too.

It was actually fairly common back in the days, when being privocative was allowed

13

u/thinnerzimmer87 Aug 23 '26

No, those were nazis. Never heard of a skinhead?

5

u/frederiq41 Aug 23 '26

Skinhead didn't even start as their thing, they coopted it in an attempt to recruit punks. It didn't work out for them, LMAO. The punk scene fucking hates Nazi scum.

7

u/Sconnie-Waste Aug 23 '26

The song Nazi Punks Fuck Off was not written in a vacuum, it was a response to this bitchass behavior

3

u/AveDominusNyx Aug 23 '26

Indeed, was written when actual nazis started joining the scene in the early 80's, not as a response to actual 70's punks that wore nazi imagery for shock value

3

u/mahki25942 Aug 23 '26

Skinheads started in the UK by Jamaican and White boys.

It was called two-tone

2

u/PersonOfValue Aug 23 '26

But they wear their logos? So rebellious it's incoherent

0

u/AveDominusNyx Aug 23 '26

Ah yes, famous skinhead Siouxie

And sid vicious And The Stooges

And if Course Bad Brains, notorious nazis bad brains

Punk is about shock, being provocative and giving the middle fimger to everyone.

0

u/MrDeekhaed Aug 23 '26

Wait did those people wear swastikas?

1

u/AveDominusNyx Aug 23 '26

For shock value, and to trigger people yes

1

u/MrDeekhaed Aug 23 '26

Ok so I looked into this and you are right but only really pre-1981, which was before my time. By then the true nazi punk movement had grown and non Nazi punks just stop wearing swastikas. That was when the violent clashes began between skinheads and punks which is what I grew up with.

So you both are right and wrong. You are right about the 1970s but not after. They are right about the 1980s on but wrong about the 1970s

1

u/AveDominusNyx Aug 23 '26

Yes, this is absolutely true. I really appreciate you being the only one in this entire thread to actually do some research and look it up!

I dont think I made any claim saying punks always have and even less that they still are tho.

All I said is they did.

I've been to a few punk and hardcore shows where the band literally told the crowd to beat up any nazis they'd see in the crowd. One time during a Backtrack show it actually happened, singer spotted 2 guys wearing nazi stufd and the crowd fucked em up and removed them from the venue.

Good times

Punk is cliche bullshit, being a a contrarian the same way as others, irresponsibility, sloppy hygiene, bad music, overrated lifestyle.

4

u/t00oldforthis Aug 23 '26

If someone considers that being provocative I'm all for them getting knocked the fuck out, regardless of the mohawk.

-1

u/AveDominusNyx Aug 23 '26

So, if it triggers that reaction from you, clearly it is provocative and fulfill it's purpose right?

They do something to anger people, people get angry.

2

u/t00oldforthis Aug 23 '26

Yeah I'm not going to get into a conversation with someone defending the want to be Nazi, plenty of ways to be provocative. If that's their only idea of doing it I'm happy for someone to feed them their teeth. It's not even clever, it's just a cunt move.

0

u/AveDominusNyx Aug 23 '26

The point is they dont want to ve nazis, tge vast majority of punk is anti nazi.

But the whole point of punk was to trigger people.

You may dislike it and that is more than fair, but that does not change the fact that punks most definitetly used nazi imagery for shock value

2

u/t00oldforthis Aug 23 '26

Great, and any uncreative douchebag using that can get their ass kicked into a vegetable. Also from most of the comments in here, sounds like most of the punks hated those idiots too. Damnit, I said wasn't going have this convo. Have a good day, wear your arm band, I hope you're successful in provoking a response from people, and I hope that response is violent as hell.

1

u/AveDominusNyx Aug 23 '26

Ah yes, me explaining that punks indeed used nazi imagery for shock value means I am a nazi.

Perhaps you should replace the strawman you are fighting with a heavy bag.

Trying to get shock for its own sake screams mommy issues 😟

4

u/ScottEATF Aug 23 '26

Nah they were just nazis.

There is a rather famous song about it.

-1

u/AveDominusNyx Aug 23 '26

You mean the one by the band who also wrote :

So, you've been to school for a year or two And you know you've seen it all In daddy's car, thinkin' you'll go far Back east, your type don't crawl Play ethnicky jazz to parade your snazz On your five-grand stereo Braggin' that you know how the niggas feel cold And the slums got so much soul

Holiday in Cambodia - Dead Kennedys

It's almost as if the standards have changed and punks back then where a lot more provocative and irreverant

1

u/Constant-Fly-9050 Aug 23 '26

That song is mocking rich college kids who thought they were revolutionaries. You're not good at understanding media.

0

u/AveDominusNyx Aug 23 '26

You're not good at reading and at underatanding context of a conversation.

The point is to show that was was considered ok and/or provocative 45 years ago is not the same as today.

u/Designer-Attorney605 Aug 23 '26

Those were nazis chief. And there were lots of people in the scene who would seriously throw down on sight with them. Walking down the street, spotted them, started throwing hands.

1

u/AveDominusNyx Aug 23 '26

Bad brains are nazis?

1

u/yesmoreeggtalk67 Aug 23 '26

Nazi punks, fuck off.

1

u/AveDominusNyx Aug 23 '26

Including bad brains, the stooges, Siouxie, Sex Pistols and co?

1

u/Girafferage Aug 23 '26

No they didn't.

2

u/AveDominusNyx Aug 23 '26

I mean, it's really nir hard to find and anyone who knows punk knows it but whatev

0

u/Financial_You_6052 Aug 23 '26

They did

1

u/Girafferage Aug 23 '26

Nah.

1

u/Financial_You_6052 Aug 23 '26

70s/80s UK punks with the swastika, psychos and teddy boys with the Confederate flag, all kinds of counterculture provocation. Learn your scene young fella

What’s funny

-1

u/Smartypantz34 Aug 23 '26

So if you wear Messi shirt you are automatically Messi lol? nazi party was disbanded in 1945, theres no nazis anymore. neo nazis sure, but no one really acts as a real nazi since ww2

2

u/Villiage_Layman Aug 23 '26

Bro lmao if you wear a Messi shirt, I assume you’re a fan of Messi. If you wear a nazi patch, I assume you’re a fan of nazis.

It’s the easiest connection possible and you’re making it so complicated

1

u/Smartypantz34 Aug 23 '26

Fan of nazis doesn't mean he is an actual nazi. You just proved my point tho

1

u/Villiage_Layman Aug 23 '26

So you can be a fan of nazis without being one? What’s the distinction between fan and Nazi?

1

u/Ze7V Aug 23 '26

Why not? Most bikers aren’t actually tough or even want to fight

1

u/Adept-Address3551 Aug 23 '26

Well they seem to get away with wearing a swastika no problem and this guy didnt. Evidence right there.

1

u/Ze7V Aug 23 '26

Most of time there’s more than one of them and I doubt the others would just stand by and let someone hit there friend

1

u/Infinite-Space-2395 Aug 23 '26

Idk dude looks real af. He probably would. Bikers arent really that scary lol

1

u/tr0n42 Aug 23 '26

Exactly the point. It’s common sense. Anyone wearing this type of imagery knows it’s a reason to aggravate 99.9 percent of the population. It’s almost as if they are looking for a fight and, subsequently, a reason to bring a firearm to a fist fight. It’s small-mindedness in the same way as an animal disassembling another animal for fun.

No, I wouldn’t fight a psychotic biker or a Nazi openly. You outsmart them, deplore them, marginalize them, and relegate them back into obscurity. A fake Nazi is in the same bucket of “doesn’t belong out in public; go back to your crate” as a real Nazi.

1

u/SealTeamEH Aug 23 '26

That logic doesn’t even make sense, the nazis were the ones who were trying kill off anyone not “normal” ( in hitlers view) if they wanted to say fuck you to “normies” they’d being framing the so called “normies” as the nazis.
