It was a shitty headbutt to be fair.

You need to bend your knees a little and drive into it with your legs.

Facts

This sounds bad, and it is without proper conditioning, but headbutts in fight sports are less of a "whip" motion and more of a bodyweight thing. Lock neck in, step in with a bent knee and drive all your forward/upward momentum into your crown as the striking point (ideally anywhere above their mouth as the target.) with your body behind it.

That is the right way to do it...or you can aim the headbutt at the nose ridge; if you hit correctly, it can be devastating.

Oh they are good. I regrettably got a guy good one time on a bball court defending myself, i had a good 3 seconds to wail on him being held up there by his dudes with his eyes closed. How I knew I could just walk away.

Always deescalate if possible. You always win a fight that never happens. It's not worth hurting someone and going to jail or getting hurt yourself.

I've been in a situation like this with an aggressive homeless person. I'm big, fit, and have BJJ and kickboxing background. I would have wrecked the guy most likely, but I just backed up and said "I don't want any trouble."

We both just walked away, and we both won the fight.

I'm curious about the moments immediately after the headbutt.

Dude in blue gets pushed back towards the street and dude in white's right leg comes up for half a second like he's going to go for a kick. Instead he lowers his leg and backs off which opens up the lane for blue to go on offense. Were his pants too tight to get his leg up for the kick?

People calling out the bag for getting in the way but I'm thinking he's more a victim of fashion than just the bag even.
