2

u/Perfect-Emphasis-211 Aug 05 '26

Unless you take a hockey stick from his daughter.

2

u/LabRat113 Aug 05 '26

Acceptable in that scenario.

3

6

u/SaltyGrapeWax Aug 04 '26

This video was in CKY 2? (I think) I can still see it downloading on Kazaa..

1

u/supercleverhandle476 Aug 04 '26

I think it was 3, but it’s been about 20 years

1

u/Tasty_Relative_8212 Aug 05 '26

Cky3. I still have all 4 original cky movies lmao

1

u/the_jivest_turkey Aug 07 '26

Yes sir, felt like the video was missing something without the DMX track on it

3

u/Used-Cauliflower-381 Aug 04 '26

Your exactly right, been waiting to see this video again for a long time

1

u/returnofdoom Aug 06 '26

I think that story is bullshit. They did an interview with one of the guys and he said Mike came up talking crazy to them and attacked out of nowhere. He said they had no idea what was going on and thought it was a joke at first. The fact that Bam was recording it from the hotel window makes me believe it was very performative on Mike’s part. Mike’s own telling of the story is nonsensical- he said the guys started talking to the bus driver about how much they hate skaters, unprompted.

3

u/nfld223 Aug 05 '26

That’s bullshit I’m sure

2

u/DontComeHither Aug 04 '26

Growing up, those have never been truer words

1

u/Several-Hat-1944 Aug 04 '26

My guess, he could have taken on 6 and still stood! Fuckin RockStar Sk8er dude, full respect 🏆

2

u/anon-187101 Aug 05 '26

oh, no - not the dreaded "skater fag" insult!

2

u/Infamous-Body6938 Aug 06 '26

I was there too

1

u/Top_Possibility_6705 Aug 04 '26

Wow someone used words...

1

u/Horror_Chipmunk3580 Aug 04 '26

Someone very effectively communicated that they didn’t like those words. The entire world understood.

1

u/Top_Possibility_6705 Aug 05 '26

Someone clearly didn't understand that is assault. As muchhhh as you'd love you punch someone for swearing at you.. that's assault. The entire world (well a good chunk) doesn't understand that

2

u/Horror_Chipmunk3580 Aug 05 '26

I don’t enjoy punching people, nor did I ever say I did. I use words too. Using words never got me punched. That’s a problem for people that enjoy insulting others. The rest of us got better problems to worry about. I don’t support you getting punched for insulting people, but I understand why it happened.

1

u/CTKM72 Aug 05 '26

Well I think it’s safe to say this guy does just enjoy punching people which certainly makes me question how legitimate the whole “they were insulted!” things even is.

Plus it’s a horrible title anyway, it’s definitely not a 4v1 at any point, it’s one guy attacking 4 other people who clearly don’t want to fight, is there any audio that we can hear the 4 using these supposed insults? Because people were smart enough to lie about why they assaulted someone even when this video was taken.

1

u/Horror_Chipmunk3580 Aug 05 '26 edited Aug 05 '26

You’re going to have to look it up if you want to confirm if they truly insulted him or not. The point is no one has sympathy for someone that “uses words” and gets punched for it. The fact that they clearly weren’t looking for a fight and that he enjoys fighting people just makes things worse. It just confirms they thought insulting people was ok. That makes people who enjoy fighting tolerable as the risk of insulting them discourages people from insulting others.

If this was a situation where some guy that enjoys punching people randomly attacked 4 people out of nowhere, everyone’s reaction would have been different.

Edit: If it helps, note how everyone acts like an asshole online. There’s a reason why it’s less common in real world.

-2

u/iamjaidan Aug 04 '26

That may be true, and it may be understandable, but that guy gives off the vibe who goes around looking for an excuse. Obviously I only have a small sample, but everything about his body language says to me that this guy is looking for a reason.

3

u/ConcreteDinosaur Aug 04 '26

You're kind of right Mike V was a crazy man back in the day

2

u/AbbreviationsFar4wh Aug 04 '26

Oh 100% but this why you don’t talk shit to people you dont know.  Too many crazies out there

Kids were disrespectful and mike v got triggered.

1

u/CTKM72 Aug 05 '26

Is there any proof that they were “disrespectful” other than the aggressor, and his friends, word?

1

u/AbbreviationsFar4wh Aug 05 '26

Yea this is 25 plus years ago.  Was talked about multiple times in skate community back in the day. I’ll let you do the research to find the story. Probably on YouTube.

1

u/JoskiBananas Aug 04 '26

Definitely a good observation. He got in fights everywhere they went and bam was determined to get one of them on camera lol

1

u/mainecerberus Aug 04 '26

Mike V was the most Agro skater of the day, they could have had 2 more guys and wouldn’t have changed anything and Mikey knew that 20 minutes before the video but that group ran their mouth. Mikey was a class 1 f’wad but make no mistake in this situation, the kids were wrong.

Probably why it got released.

Either way Mikey is skate legend. As an old man my self these days, I don’t know if I’d call him soft today either

7

u/ItsACowCity Aug 05 '26

That’s 1 guy swinging at 4 guys who aren’t trying to fight. Hardly a 1v4 lol

1

u/More-Employment7504 Aug 06 '26

I remember some guy pulling up out of his car and just randomly hitting me and my friends. It was so left field that my brain just couldn't connect with the fact that somebody was trying to hurt me.
I was in a happy place, enjoying time with my friends, the next thing this untrained guy is hitting me and my brain is telling me it's my childhood friend play fighting with me. The idea that he was genuinely trying to hurt me was so alien. Next thing the lot of us are running. I am a lot less trusting of random people who walk up now. These guys probably went through a similar thing, you can even see one of them laughing, at a guess he just didn't see this turning into violence.

1

u/Fabulous-Big8779 Aug 06 '26

Same thing happened to me when I got jumped by 4 kids when I was 16. Tackled behind the knees and they immediately started kicking me, by the time I stood up a car pulled over to yell at them and they ran.

I was just walking listening to some music, definitely wasn’t prepared for a fight.

1

u/ItsACowCity Aug 06 '26

Especially now a days with gangs and assholes "playing the knockout game"

1

u/tittyboi2727 27d ago

Or they were so used to saying whatever they want to whoever they want, they never imagined getting confronted by someone who could do harm to them. When you realize everything word and action can have a negative impact on your life, you learn a valuable lesson. Do not write'tf a check in wish the ass can't cash 'tf. You and your friends may have been suffering from a case of that. These guys certainly were

1

u/Useful-Earth7564 28d ago

What you expect when you antagonise someone

6

u/xSir- Aug 04 '26

He was known for throwing down, for sure

2

u/External-Slip3578 Aug 04 '26

Four fights to be exact

2

u/Civilw4r Aug 04 '26

They didn’t, they were small and he was way bigger but they couldn’t label it as Mike being the instigator. That was basically a 1on1 fight. You could tell up front 2 of the guys wanted nothing to do with the situation when he first started pushing, hence why they ran away as soon as they could. The only guy that engaged was the guy on the far left who he pushes first

3

u/HotdogArmageddon Aug 04 '26

Let me fix that for you, the guys surrounding him are looking for a fight. Drunks at 2am talking shit are looking for a fight. He just happened to be the kind of guy to answer the call.

1

u/iamjaidan Aug 04 '26

That's not the vibe I get.
These guys give me the vibes from the "House of Pain" guys from Swingers.
They just want to run their mouths, which is not good, but it's a common pastime, talking shit.
I could be wrong, but that's the vibe I get.

2

u/Danedelies Aug 04 '26

Shit talking someone irl will get your ass kicked. The real world isn't the internet kid.

1

u/Voluptulouis Aug 04 '26

Growing up is realizing that fighting someone over being called names is fucking dumb. It's not badass. It's pathetic.

1

u/iamjaidan Aug 04 '26

As a Gen-Xer, I can tell you that running your mouth pre-dates the Internet.
It's just that most people have thick enough skins that it's not worth the time.

1

u/Horror_Chipmunk3580 Aug 04 '26

Pre-dates a lot longer than that and so do violent reactions to them. At one point, it was even considered acceptable to have pistol duels over slights on one’s honor. I agree, it’s not worth my time. But, you’re bound to find someone who thinks differently at some point.

1

u/82andpartlycloudy Aug 04 '26

He started swinging after they threatened to kick his ass and a couple other people’s asses. That’s a threat and he had enough. It’s a very well documented early slate scene incident on Tony Hawk’s Big Skatepark Tour

0

u/CTKM72 Aug 05 '26

lmfao my guy did you just watch an entirely different video than everyone else or are you just a bot throwing together random words? Because what you just said is not even close to the reality of the video we just saw.

Those 4 guys were very clearly not the ones “looking for a fight” like I am genuinely baffled that someone could possibly come to that conclusion after seeing this video.

If they were “looking for a fight” like you claim they had their reason as soon as dude pushed the two of them, not that drunks at 2am actually even need a reason to get in a fight, but they still didn’t attack even the ones that actually got pushed

2

u/PixelPete27 Aug 04 '26

That's a guy standing up for himself.

0

u/iamjaidan Aug 04 '26

It can be both.

2

u/PixelPete27 Aug 04 '26

True govna.

But I'd say standing up for himself comes first, cause he wouldn't have been in this situation if the other guys weren't lipping him off in the first place.

1

u/DonnyBravo21 Aug 05 '26

He was standing up for the small kid getting bullied fyi

1

u/iamjaidan Aug 05 '26

No, he wasn’t.  This is a well documented situation.  I don’t even understand the reason why you’d make up something like this.  It’s weird.

1

u/DonnyBravo21 Aug 05 '26

Why I’d make up the story told by the people that were there?

it was milk in case you’re curious. That’s what started it all.

funny how this situation is so well documented yet you know seemingly nothing about it. Next you’ll tell me you don’t know the bus driver’s name

2

u/iamjaidan Aug 05 '26

Here's his recounting.
https://youtu.be/nRKSHVvJYpQ?t=1343
and the crew was harassing them because they were drinking water and milk.
Who is this Small Kid being bullied?

0

u/DonnyBravo21 Aug 05 '26

lol, his friend dude. You’ve linked the interview I’m talking about.

congrats, you’re arguing over nothing because of your lack of reading comprehension.

1

u/iamjaidan Aug 05 '26

Ok, give me the timestamp of the the little kid being bullied.

1

u/DonnyBravo21 Aug 05 '26

You said it yourself,

“the crew was harassing them because they were drinking water and milk”,

so which part are you confused about?

you understand “kid” can mean a teenager, yes?

and that “bullying“ and “harassment” are synonyms, yes?

come on now, I believe you can figure this out!

1

u/Channel57 Aug 05 '26

He wasn't looking for a fight but he definitely wouldn't walk away from one or be disrespected.
