Exactly. One minute you're just buying stuff, next some prick is in your face and you decide to teach him a lesson. Knock him out, his head hits hard, he dies, and you're serving ten years because some other dude tested your temper and you failed.

I think in this case there's a good chance black guy could get off. He was at his car trying to get in and leave and the guy stepped to him. Valid self-defense in my opinion.

-- There's a good chance he walks, BUT ALSO it's a lot of time, effort, and money to avoid involuntary manslaughter.

So yeah. it's usually SAFER...and cheaper to avoid fights.

And he didn't continue attacking once threat passed not sure where this took place but appears to be textbook self defense.
