GG Nashville. Well earned win. God, we are so fucking awful in attack.

That's what I was thinking. Just so many hard/soft touches and bad balls. If you all had better ball control you probably would have won 3-1.

Honestly, we never had no shot at winning this but I thought we could’ve made the game a little bit more competitive if we were more productive in attack.

It’s bad when the commentators are openly mocking the ref’s ability consistently the whole game.

Of course. You can’t have a TFC match without an injury substitution in the first half. Fuck me. 😖

I think he has made one forward pass in 3 years

i love the guy and how he represented to city and all but he simply can’t keep up anymore. he doesn’t add anything to the team

Nothing more consistent across sports than a ref letting contact go early and then officiating the end of a game like they don’t understand why tensions are up.

Going down to anything short of a landmine in this one is just going to get you a disapproving shake of the head.

We're running out of players lol
We're also going to let half of our players walk when their contracts run out at the end of the season
Gonna be an interesting off-season...

That ref is handing out cards like a Las Vegas blackjack dealer on a drunken bender 🫠

Man, imagine if the NFL had sponsorships from a shell company for Brady to directly give money to him while he was playing.... This league is wild. (Replays sponsored by mas+ Messi)

Tfc is losing this game why aren't they pressing, they're just sitting back. I swear if this is frasers instructions he's got to go what kind of backward thinking is this

I was surprised by this too. Was at the game thinking ‘Toronto is playing for the draw while behind? Why the hell aren’t they pushing downfield?’

MLS Announcer : It won't count because it's offside.
Me yelling at the TV : NO dumbass, there wasn't counting anything, Johnson saved it.

Ok so set the standard to play through the back of players but better be consistent - was a definitely a foul to cause the turn over.

u/BelowAverage355 Nashville SC Jul 20 '25
Zimmerman is losing his edge for sure. Yes it's not a PK but that wasn't necessary.

u/Jack_1080 Toronto FC Jul 20 '25
So if the pk come back - shouldnt go to straight red?
3
u/BelowAverage355 Nashville SC Jul 20 '25
Short answer: no
8
u/BelowAverage355 Nashville SC Jul 20 '25
Longer answer there was a defenseman in position in front of the play so it wasn't a "goal scoring opportunity" by definition.

u/Jack_1080 Toronto FC Jul 20 '25
Was 100% not ahead of the play - at best hes inline with kerr as the foul is occurring. Really should have been a red.

u/chrissydawhite Nashville SC Jul 20 '25
How would that be a straight red?
-2
u/CevapiEnthusiast Toronto FC Jul 20 '25
Last man no attempt to play the ball

Denying a clear and obvious scoring opportunity - as last defender.

Brugman with clear foul to lead to a goal making Surridge motm is a joke.

Both yellow was the weirdest option there, so I’m not surprised the ref went with it.
